Details: 3 HOUR COURSE: After identifying the legal background to Adult Protection, this course defines what constitutes abuse in adults, and examines the causes and recognition of different types of abuse.

Advice about the action that must be taken if abuse is witnessed or suspected is also included. Attendance certificates and handouts are provided for all students.

THIS COURSE COMPLIES WITH COMMISSION FOR SOCIAL CARE INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS AND NVQs IN CARE.

Details of the client group will be required to enable the trainer to tailor the course to the customer's needs. Details of any existing policies and documents in use in the home should be supplied to the trainer before the course commences. These will then be used during the course. If no such documentation exists, the trainer will supply examples.
