Paediatric Moving and Handling (PMH) Training Course

This one day course is designed to assist those working with children who need to understand the essentials of moving and handling and for the safe moving of disabled and mobility impared children, including:

 

• The rights of the child
• Working at the right height
• One and two person handling
• Use of appropriate hoists
• Moving children with mobility impairments
• Working a child height level
• Moving children with poor muscle tone
• Handling in and out of vehicles
• Helping children dress
• Two person assisted child handling
• Risk assessments in handling
• Staying in fixed positions
• Legal implications
