Description:
Required by OFSTED for full day care settings, and fully EYFS compliant, this two-day course, leading to appointed person status, provides information on the essentials of first aid for the care of children and babies including: the AB, Choking, Bleeding & resuscitation, head injuries, epilepsy, allergic reaction, poisoning and exposure to cold and heat.
Please note: OFSTED do NOT approve paediatric first aid training providers and the Pre-School Learning Alliance and NCMA have withdrawn their approval scheme for first aid training.
This course meets the EYFS/OFSTED/DFCS & Sure-Start requirements for those working in care settings for the under 8's and also the requirements of the NCMA for those registering as childminders (prices are based on delivery over 2 days)
Who Should Attend?
All those working in out of school, pre schools, playgroups, childminders or full day care settings and caring for the under 8's (meeting OFSTED requirements).
We offer a separate course for those caring for the 5 to 15's.
Additional Information:
Please wear suitable clothing as you will be practicing first aid procedures- we recommend ladies wear trousers
This course includes a formal assessment, in order to ensure that delegates fully understand the requirements for first aid and are able to carryout protocols in CPR and emergency treatment
